NextEra Approves H&N Wind
as New Supplier for Wind Turbine Repair
NextEra Energy Resources has approved H&N Wind as a new supplier for wye ring, up-tower service, and complete generator repair for their fleet of wind turbines. NextEra is the world’s leading generator of wind energy and is nationally recognized as a top clean energy provider. Their portfolio, which includes wind, solar, natural gas, and nuclear power, totals more than 21,000 megawatts of generating capacity across the United States and Canada. Over the last decade, their wind energy capacity has tripled and now tops over 119 wind projects in the United States and Canada, giving them the largest market share of North American wind capacity.
The approval qualifies H&N Wind to repair all brands and sizes of NextEra wind generators, including General Electric and Hitachi generators, which are commonly found in thousands of wind turbines throughout North America and worldwide. “We’re thrilled to become a new supplier for NextEra,” said Nathan Glessner, business manager for H&N Motor and Wind Services. “Getting the approval required several visits to NextEra to discuss our offering and a full audit of the H&N shop and all of our standard repair and quality procedures. We’re proud of our facility and the work our team has done to help keep wind farms running. And it’s great to see that a customer of this scale recognizes our expertise and trusts our manufacturing and quality processes enough to make this type of endorsement. We look forward to a long future working with NextEra,” said Nathan.
